The 8 year old chestnut, runner-up the last twice, was held up last early on over the 16 fences in the distance chase, but made ground into the home straight for a narrow lead two out. Despite hitting the last, a powerful ride from Sean Bowen up the long run-in had him up by a head on the line – another win for leading stable owner, Roddy Owen.
