The 9-y-o chaser, last year’s Summer Plate victor, won over 3 miles for the first time. Building on his recent 4th in the Topham Trophy behind Mac Tottie, he was given a patient ride under a supremely confident Sean Bowen, who landed a treble on the card, racing clear from the last to land Uttoxeter’s prize of the day for long-time stable owner Roddy Owen.
Peter and his wife Karen have transformed what began as a modest bungalow and a couple of fields into a top class racing yard.
In the last 10 seasons, horses trained by Peter Bowen have won almost 500 races and more than £4.5 million in prize money.
