The 7 year old progressive chaser, who completed a four-timer at the Lakes track last summer, scored his fifth career win on his return to the unique venue under a patient ride from Sean Bowen. Jumping and travelling well, he took the lead over the last fence, before cruising well clear on the long Cartmel run-in for owner Jonathan Martin.
Peter and his wife Karen have transformed what began as a modest bungalow and a couple of fields into a top class racing yard.
In the last 10 seasons, horses trained by Peter Bowen have won almost 500 races and more than £4.5 million in prize money.
