The 10 year old chaser, winner of last year’s Topham and the 2021 Grand Sefton over the National fences, took the Class 2 veterans’ two and a half mile chase over the Mildmay course this time, under Sean Bowen – returning after more than a year off through injury for a ninth career win for owner/breeders Steve and Jackie Fleetham.
Peter and his wife Karen have transformed what began as a modest bungalow and a couple of fields into a top class racing yard.
In the last 10 seasons, horses trained by Peter Bowen have won almost 500 races and more than £4.5 million in prize money.
